Ren Water flows with the river, can dissipate metal qi; the virtue of firmness that circulates without stagnation.
It connects to its root and penetrates Gui; it surges toward the heavens and rushes to the earth. When transformed, there is sentiment; when following, mutual assistance.

2. Original Notes

Original notes: Ren Water is the source of Gui Water, the water of Kunlun; Gui Water is the destination of Ren Water, the water of Fusang.
There are divisions and unifications, its movement never stops, so it is the source of all rivers, and also the source of rain and dew; this cannot be considered two distinct things.
Shen is the heavenly gate, the mouth of the Milky Way; Ren Water originates here, capable of dissipating the austere killing qi of the West.
Its nature is circulating, pressing in without stagnation; the virtue of firmness remains.

If Shen, Zi, Chen are complete and Gui Water is also exposed, then its momentum surges and cannot be restrained.
If the East Sea originates from the Milky Way and then becomes a flood; encountered in life, if there is no wealth or official in the chart, what disaster would arise!
Unite Ding to transform Wood, which also generates Ding Fire; this can be said to be Sentient;
It can restrain Bing Fire from seizing Ding's affection; thus it embodies conjugal righteousness and a ruler's benevolence.

Born in the nine summers, then the Fire-Earth qi of Si, Wu, Wei, and Shen are present;
Ren Water's vapor steams them into rain and dew; thus, although aligned with Fire and Earth, they always assist each other.

3. Ren's Yi Book Exegesis

Ren's Yi Book: Ren is Yang Water. To connect to the river means the Milky Way; longevity resides in Shen;
Shen is at the mouth of the Milky Way, and also in the Kun direction; Ren Water is born here, can dissipate the West's austere killing qi,
thus it is the virtue of firmness.

The source of a hundred rivers, circulates without stagnation, easy to advance and hard to retreat.
If Shen, Zi, Chen are complete, and Gui Water is also exposed, its momentum overflows; even with Wu and Ji Earth, it cannot stop its flow;
If forcibly restrained, it rebounds and becomes a flood; Wood must be used to relieve it, following its momentum to avoid rushing and bursting.

Unite Ding to transform Wood, which can also generate Fire; the inexhaustible transformation is wonderful; in transformation there is sentiment.
Born in April, May, or June, Fire and Earth are旺 within the pillar, with no other Metal or Water assisting;
When Fire is旺, it follows Fire; when Earth is旺, it follows Earth; through tempering and smoothing, there is mutual assistance still.

4. Modern Fate Analysis

Ren Water is Yang Water, symbolizing the water of the Milky Way, rivers, and the sea;
its nature flows ceaselessly and its momentum is grand, possessing the virtue of firmness that can adapt.

Can dissipate metal qi: Ren Water originates in Shen; it can dissipate the West's austere metal qi,
preventing metal from becoming overly rigid, demonstrating the function of balance and guidance.

Through root to Gui, surge to the heavens and rush to the earth: When Ren and Gui appear together, the water current is vast;
it is better to follow the flow than to block it; forcing it leads to floods, so fate emphasizes “use according to momentum.”

When transformed, there is sentiment: Ren Water unites with Ding to transform Wood, generating Wood and Fire; when rigid water is transformed, it shows a benevolent image;
When following, mutual assistance: when Fire and Earth are旺, follow their momentum, still able to produce rain and dew.

Overall, the value of Ren Water lies not in stopping but in moving; when its connectivity is strong and it follows its momentum, it circulates all things without harm.
